Knitting and camping. My two favorite things. And the sun is FINALLY shining! As a person who is usually burning the candle at both ends, the one thing that will entice me to sit and relax is a great knitting project and a quiet setting. Yes, that’s the Garden Song Shawl!
Mr. V. and I love getting away in our small but mighty R-Pod camper. It provides us with a chance to get away, relax, hike, read, and draw some creative inspiration from nature.
One of my favorite places to camp is Highland Ridge near Spring Valley, Wisconsin. It is situated on the Eau Galle River and Reservoir among 648 acres of lush trails, bluffs, and woodlands.

On one of my hikes I spotted this amazing mushroom. Does anyone else see a future shawl here? I love the striping and subtle colors.
Where do YOU like to create? Are you inspired by nature? Here’s hoping this summer holds some great adventures for all of us! Let me know in the comments!
